FREE CLASS!

So today was all about planning out the next week of so of our math classes and free time up to the math exam. The math exam will take place the morning of Thursday, June 11th. The assignment given us was to create a chart or something similar that will be the guidelines for your studying. If you bring it in Monday, you will be given a mark of some sort and it should help out your overall grade. Also, we were told that we have till the Monday the 22 to hand in all our accelerated math stuff. Although that is not recommended to leave it all till the end, you will have to get you priorities straight and balance homework with studying. Below are some of the pictures that should give you an idea of what to do for a chart, as well a a messy calender to represent the final days of 0809 pre-calculus mathematics!

Today was our homework check. Mr max went down into the cafeteria so the class would be "free from distractions" while the victim would be judged. basically it was just just a work period for the class up here in the class room and we were given the opportunity to review for the test that is coming up on the the 6th

Solving Natural Logs:

Just added onto what we learned the previous day. We learned that if there is the term "e" in the equation, you will use the natural log formula. This is how we differentiate between using log and ln to solve an exponents question. The homework for the weekend was to just catch up on past lessons and try to get through about lesson 3o in accelerated math which is due April 15th

Trigonometric Identities

Alright, so the lesson to day was trig identities, and Mr max dedicated this class to figguring out a few trig identity problems. Quote "there is nothing better than solving a few (trig identity) problems in math class on a tuesday afternoon".

Today we had a test on lessons 1 through 8ish. I will not be here tomorrow so I have no clue as to the material that will be covered tomorrow. After doing this test I would appreciate it if we could go over this material as a class for the simple reason that is was almost the hardest thing I have ever done.

Creation of a Unit Circle



Today was basically a work period. The first thing we learned today was how to draw a unit circle that would be useful in the test tomorrow. In the previous lesson we learned what a unit circle was and how we can apply it to problems that will show up throughout the course. Now with the chart we created, we can take our knowledge, put it into a diagram, and see it visually on a piece of paper. An image of what we had to draw is posted beneath. The second thing we did was start a chart that would represent all the special angles found throughout the unit circle. The best way to fill in the chart is too do it from the knowledge you have accumulated up to this point, rather than just copy out from the book. This diagram and chart, especially the unit circle, are important to the success of you the individual. These need to be known and memorized because the only time we will be supplied a copy during testing is tomorrow. The rest of the class was allotted to us to draw our diagrams and fill in our chart, and we could ask our teacher any questions we might have needed answered from previous lessons. There will be a test tomorrow, so study hard, go to sleep a little earlier, have a balanced breakfast in the morning, and most importantly show up on time for math class tomorrow. Good luck classmates!!

If you don’t get any of the materials studied in class or just need another explanation of a concept for any reason, I would highly suggest that you would stay after school for an hour of tutoring. You will not know how helpful it is until you experience it for yourself :)
